It was true once “Fewer have scored 300 than those have walked on the moon”
It was an illustrious group Sir Don, Sir Garfield Sobers, Sir Len Hutton, Hanif Mohammed, Brian Lara...even the imperious Vivian Richards couldn't get in.
Sadly, these days the gates are open, any swinger can get in, Its Christmas all year, throughout the career for the batsmen.
Sehwag, Jaysurya, Chris Gayle ????????????
Betrayal! Treachery!
I bet even I can score one.
Yesterday I was afraid that “Gollodu” would desecrate the holiest record of all, the only batsmen to score 300 more than once, It is safe, at least until the next time.
Thank God!

Taxes
Hard earned funding entities I'd rather not see exist
Man I simply do not know why I have to pay any tax at all; I do not get anything for free in this country, Apart from the arcane basic services which are competent but minions to natural or unnatural events everything is expensive. The country is pretty much a “functioning anarchy” I fuel the balance by doing my part, paying taxes.
I especially dislike two aspects of where my money is going Scams and defense
I hate the politicians and big business which steal my money and defense because I do not believe that having a huge army results in peace, Lichtenstein a small European country has not been affected by war for the last 150 years because in 1868 the citizens voted to abolish the army, The US spends more on defense than any other nation and is no surprise that they have been involved in more wars in modern history than any other nation.
A major part of the money goes into military budget I read somewhere that India has the second largest military in the world after China, If we are a non-aligned, pacifist nation why do we need this army ? I don’t even want to go into the fact that by some Globalization norm the defense spending cannot be more that 2% of the GNP.
I do not believe in the abolishment of taxes; I do know that essential services are heavily subsidized to make them more affordable, But I would like to know where my tax is going or is buying for me, When I go out for dinner I would like to see the items I ate and prices next to them and not a ballpark figure of the meal.

[Click] Blinding light
[Click] Shot of hair flowing the wind against the sun
[Click] Shot an arm outstretched in the wind, the hand is tense and lean.
[Click] Shot of a young woman’s face darkened by the sun behind her
[Click] Shot of the woman in full, arms outstretched, hair flying, she is circled by the white sun, Christ like.
[Click] The woman shudders a little, teeters forward as she is buffeted by a strong wind.
[Click] Finally a close up shot of the woman’s face.
This photograph is taken closer than the others
The face is pensive, contemplative of a strange power held within her grasp, the power of finality.
At that shot we quit the photographs and float up into the sky behind the girl just as 4 young people burst through the door.

The 3 young men ( MANA, MANB, MANC ) and 1 woman ( WOMAN2) are tense but not panicky, Perhaps they’ve been part of this scene earlier but they are all seem pretty cool for people who are about to see somebody attempt suicide.
One of the men, MANB just slips to the left and continues to take photographs,
One of the men, MANA moves forward to help the young Elektra off the parapet.
She looks to her friends and then down to the concrete, she lets out a sigh of sadness and gracefully jumps off the parapet,
MANA says to WOMAN1 “It’s too late and too early”.
WOMAN1: “Just wanted to feel it again” she adds “It’s like a drug the high decreases until the end, the end”

Argument
One of the arguments that is made against the existence of God is that He is a mute observer while his creation, humanity is mired in suffering, Since no supreme entity takes the responsibility of “shepherding the weak through the valley of darkness+" there is no almighty watcher, hence no creator.
"What? No Divine Justice = No Creator???"
Stand Up! Be responsible for your actions! (Q1) To expect somebody else to act while we happily go on with our business is simply escapism, this skulking from responsibilities results in choosing collectives; a collective is a group of individual chosen or appointed to do a work that we dislike or have little inclination to do, Every profession is a collective,
In any case society/humanity provides/has always provided everyone ample opportunity to play God, individuals or a chosen collectives can play God, Confronted with brutality, collectives like the Police and Justice Department must play God and do something about it, against hunger and poverty collectives like government must take action.
I like the idea of an almighty creator since I do not believe in the theory of evolution I don't like believing that chance had a lot to do with my existence I'd rather be made in the mould of a Superman.
The ancient Greeks held that the human body was mathematically perfect and tried to model this arithmetic when constructing their homes, According to them, 4 fingers make a palm, 3 palms make a foot, 6 feet make a man's height, The limbs when stretched out would perform a perfect circle and a perfect square, Whether this is true or not is beside the point what is more interesting is there seems to be an absolute purpose even in the construction of the human body, I find it hard to believe that evolutionary chaos could lead to perfection.
Q1- "Be proud that the greatest monuments in the cosmos were built from the same substance as you; be humble that worst in humanity stems from the same fabric as you";
+ Monologue from the movie "Pulp Fiction".

Three Men, Death Row
One,Desperate.
Hangman, hangman, hold it a little while,
Think I see my friends coming, Riding a many mile.
Friends, did you get some silver? Did you get a little gold?
What did you bring me, my dear friends,
To keep me from the Gallows Pole?
What did you bring me to keep me from the Gallows Pole?
I couldn't get no silver, I couldn't get no gold,
You know that we're too damn poor to keep you from the Gallows Pole.
Hangman, hangman, hold it a little while,
I think I see my brother coming, riding a many mile.
Brother, did you get me some silver? Did you get a little gold?
What did you bring me, my brother, to keep me from the Gallows Pole?
Brother, I brought you some silver, I brought a little gold,
I brought a little of everything To keep you from the Gallows Pole.
Yes, I brought you to keep you from the Gallows Pole.
Hangman, hangman, turn your head awhile,
I think I see my sister coming, riding a many mile, mile, mile.
Sister, I implore you, take him by the hand,
Take him to some shady bower, save me from the wrath of this man,
Please take him, save me from the wrath of this man, man.
Hangman, hangman, upon your face a smile,
Pray tell me that I'm free to ride, Ride for many mile, mile, mile.
Oh, yes, you got a fine sister,
She warmed my blood from cold, Brought my blood to boiling hot
To keep you from the Gallows Pole,
Your brother brought me silver,
Your sister warmed my soul,
But now I laugh and pull so hard And see you swinging on the Gallows Pole
Swingin' on the gallows pole!
Second, Hopeful
They say everything can be replaced
They say every distance is not near
So I remember every face
Of every man who put me here.
I see my light come shining
From the west unto the east
Any day now, any day now,
I shall be released.
They say every man needs protection
They say every man must fall
So I swear I see my reflection
Someplace so high above this wall.
I see my light come shining
from the west unto the east
Any day now, any day now,
I shall be released.
Standing next to me in this lonely crowd
Is a man who swears he's not to blame
All day long I hear him shout so loud
Crying out that he was framed.
I see my light come shining
from the west unto the east
Any day now, any day now,
I shall be released.
Third, Defiant.
OUT of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance 5
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade, 10
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate: 15
I am the captain of my soul.
“Gallows Pole” Written by Lead Belly
(Version I love) Performed by Led Zeppelin on “Led Zeppelin III”
“I shall be released” written by Bob Dylan
(Version I love) Performed by The Band on “The Basement Tapes”
“In Victus” By William Ernst Henley as appears in “In Hospital”.
"Death Row" is a scene I was inpired to write after listening to the songs and verses of the poem mentioned above, It is incomplete, It is one the final scenes of a play "Three Men" I hope to complete someday.

Thoughts on another blog
Response to http://www.ripeningwrite.blogspot.com/
Part I.
By what definition is this man great, he neither created nor built anything of significance, He was not a sage, He choice of life was a means to a goal not his life, He was not a writer/ thought-maker , his sermonizing is an amalgam of aphorisms from religion.. The identity and pride that he sought to instill in Indians is non-existent. Did he grant India its Independence? The confluence economic and political factors and the futility of colonization resulted in Independence.
Yet he is the icon of the struggle for independence, how could he hijack the symbol of a movement? Did the English create a saint like image of him and trade the image for an incessant but peaceful struggle he brought with him?
Is he relevant today? I guess not, Any man who earns money, loves his family, loves life has no place in his society, His way of life can only offer a feckless solace, not a solution to society’s ills.
Despite its fallacies Capitalism is great because it reduces everything down to the simple things intelligence and effort. The equation can be corrupted but its redemption is quick.
“Production by the masses instead of mass production” what crap, Imagine the possibilities of making the country the mass manufacturing capital of the world 50 years ago.
